GIVE TO THE MAX DAY IS NOVEMBER 16!
Give To The Max Day 2023 is on Thursday, November 16. Your generous donations will be fully contributed toward grants for women in Lubumbashi to support businesses that foster empowerment and wellbeing for women and their families. Our most recent projects include funding a soy bean flour grinder as well as a convenience store.
In keeping with the tradition over many years, the Carter Family Foundation has graciously offered to match every donation for Give To The Max Day up to $10,000. We would like to thank the Carter Family Foundation so much for their continuous support of Saidiana.
PROJECT UPDATE – SOY BEAN FLOUR
The soy bean flour project entails grinding up soy beans to make flour for subsequent sale at the market. Soy flour is very important for the nutrition of the community as it is rich in protein. The activities are going very well and the company is earning profits that are being spent to increase inventory, pay state taxes, pay rent, and most importantly, pay each woman working on this business.
