PROJECT FUNDING UPDATES
We have had a busy start to the year with two projects funded. We are continuing to put resources towards fast-growing projects. Keep reading to learn more about them!
These three women entrepreneurs (see photo below) have been running this business successfully since 2019. They are preparing to expand their business with the help of Saidiana. The funding will be going towards building a secure pen that will keep the pigs warm. In 2021, there was a freeze where the women lost 11 piglets. This new pig pen will allow the women to sustain and grow the business successfully. Thank you for your support!
PIG BREEDING
SEWING SCHOOL
The sewing school program in partnership with Kimbilio continues to provide a strong skills-based training for young women in the Congo.
Past cohorts have had many successes with the program, and this funding will go towards course instruction and sewing kits for graduates. The kits have been purchased and the class will begin in a few weeks!
