FOUR PROJECTS FUNDED SO FAR THIS YEAR
Hello all! We hope your year has been off to a productive start.
Saidiana has chosen four projects to fund so far this year. Here is some detail on each:
YOUNG MUMS SALON SCHOOL: After our traditional salon program, the Young Mums gave feedback that they’d like internship-like training to get more comfortable practicing on clients prior to entering full-scale salons. This project funds a teacher and working space for the interns to practice their new skills with the salon kids we provide at graduation.
CHICKEN EGG INCUBATOR: Last year, we funded a chicken coop which has since provided for many families within the community. This incubator builds on the success of the chicken coop project by creating a way to self-sustain this project over time. The incubator allows for more eggs to be hatched.
SEWING SCHOOL: We continue to be excited about the Sewing School and have funded another class of students. See the photo to the right of the current class.
As always, we would not be able to fund these projects and support the entrepreneurial ventures of Congolese women without your support. Thank you!
